The Over-40 Fighter was born out of frustration. After years of BJJ, MMA, and boxing — and a string of overuse injuries that kept piling up in the late 30s — it became clear the standard approach wasn't working anymore.
The training that worked at 25 was wrecking joints, stacking fatigue, and turning the gym into a place of dread rather than growth. Something had to change.
After rebuilding from scratch — studying recovery science, longevity research, and working with coaches who understood aging athletes — the system that powers this site was developed and refined over years of real training.
